The Rousdon Estate is located 2 miles west of Lyme Regis and half-a-mile from the sea. It enjoys its own private beach, accessible only from within the estate via a steep walk down through the fabulous undercliff and across the south coast path which runs through estate land. It is set within 350 acres of parkland with private walkways and overlooks Charton Bay on the East Devon/West Dorset border.

The Rousdon Estate was the original dream of Sir Henry Peek, the MP for Wimbledon who’s family had made their money in the tea trade during the 18th and 19th centuries. Rousdon was a classic model Victorian estate served by an extensive network of private roads and buildings including the mansion, stable courtyard, the church, the farmhouse, farm buildings, cottages and lodges. The majority have been converted into private homes during the past few years.
